Lesson 4 of 10 ยท Microsoft Copilot

Plan Word documents and PowerPoint presentations

When Copilot is available in your Microsoft 365 workflow, describe the source material and desired output. For Word, specify headings and length. For PowerPoint, specify the audience, the presentation goal, slide count, and one message per slide. Check what files and organizational data the feature can access before asking it to use them.

Example: presentation outline

Turn the approved project brief into an 8-slide presentation
for department managers. For each slide provide:
title, one-sentence takeaway, up to 3 concise bullets, and a
suggested visual. Start with the problem and end with decisions
needed. Use only the supplied brief; mark unsupported facts
[VERIFY]. Do not create financial projections.

Review slide by slide: Confirm every number and claim, ensure the narrative flows, and replace generic visuals with useful, accessible charts or diagrams.
